Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a Mid-level Ruby on Rails Engineer (m/f) to help us build fast API’s for a whole range of our and client products. Ruby on Rails Engineer’s responsibilities include architecting and developing backend applications, from tackling complicated database queries to building blazing fast API’s.

We are looking for a person who can:
- Own: multiple steps within the backend architecture process and communication.
- Teach: other involved team members and partners on how to get better at their craft.
- Learn: new trends, stats and intel on backend development, architecture, and real estate domain.
- Improve: efficiencies within the development process and architecture.
- Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications
- Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
- Gather and evaluate user feedback
- Developing new server-side features using Ruby on Rails
- Integration of API elements developed by third parties with server side logic
- Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
- Ability to learn new languages and technologies
- Experience in working in full-stack environments
- Understanding software architecture and the way it is deployed
- Experience in solving challenging technical problems
- Understanding at least 1 popular SQL database engine (Postgres/Mysql/MSSQL)
- Knowing your way around a containerized environment (use of Docker)
- Experience in Ruby on Rails (minimum experience: 1+ years)
Bonus points for:
- Knowing your way around test driven development
- Experience with JSON:API/GraphQL standards
- Frontend experience (React.js/Vue.js/Angular)
