IT Sales Consultant (GIS Cloud)

GIS Cloud is a twenty people company, developing and offering its own product, a collaborative mapping platform, used in more than 40 countries and by more than 100 000 users around the globe, including USA, Australia, Denmark, Oman, Nigeria, Brazil to Japan.

Mapping applications allow users to collect data, edit and analyze it, as well as to share maps and data with colleagues and the public. As a cloud-based Geographic Information System, GIS Cloud was the first on the market back in late 2009, enabling organizations of all sizes to organize their work and information around maps, to be faster, more efficient and paper free.

You will be talking to people and organizations who reach out to us, to help them transform and facilitate their working processes by implementing our innovative data management solutions.

Some of our client stories include NGOs bringing clean water to residents in remote areas, organizations managing water or electricity networks and road infrastructure in cities, mapping Maori burial sites in New Zealand, and much more.

Recently, adventurer Davor Rostuhar became the first Croat to conquer the South Pole on foot, and you could have followed his expedition on this map created in GIS Cloud.

    You will be responsible for:

  • Establishing new customer relationships by moving a number of prospects through various stages of the sales process:
    • Initial prospect evaluation and contact  – inbound prospecting through phone calls, emails, LinkedIn and other social media channels (no cold calling)
    • Identification of needs and challenges – acquiring, managing and interpreting critical customer requirements and problems
    • Value proposition and product demonstration – presenting and proposing GIS Cloud solutions according to customer specific needs and challenges
    • Proposal presentation – develop, deliver and negotiate clear and compelling written proposals/quotations for prospective customers
    • Closing deals
    • Client administration – record and maintain client contact data
  • Supplying other teams with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
  • Coordinating with our marketing department on lead generation
  • Developing strategy and setting individual sales targets with the sales team
  • Meeting planned sales goals
  • Building long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with your contacts
  • Follow up in a timely manner on all leads
  • Participating in webinars, workshops and web-based demos for potential clients

    Required experience and education:

  • Business/Economics University degree or proven experience in the related field
  • Considerable working experience and results in sales
  • Experience with CRM systems

    Additional experience we will greatly appreciate:

  • Sales experience within SaaS/Tech industry
  • Proficiency in Zoho
  • Experience in GIS or similar tools for location intelligence
  • Experience with cloud systems
